Empowering High School Students to Lead and Innovate
CLIMB is a paid summer internship program for high school students to explore career paths, build professional skills, and make a meaningful impact in the South Bend-Elkhart region.

About the Program

The CLIMB Internship Program is a 6 to 8-week, in-person experience designed for rising juniors and seniors (16+ years old). Participants will gain hands-on experience working on innovative, community-based projects while learning from mentors, peers, and local leaders.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with enFocus Fellows and project sponsors to solve regional challenges.

  • Conduct research, gather data, and propose innovative solutions.

  • Develop skills in project management, strategic planning, and problem-solving.

  • Participate in a team-based project focused on areas like sustainability, community development, or entrepreneurship.

  • Present your work to enFocus staff and sponsors, building confidence in public speaking and communication.

  • Take part in professional development workshops and networking events.

The Specifics

  • Duration: 6 to 8 weeks | May 27–July 18, 2025

  • Location: In-person in Elkhart, IN

  • Hours: 30 hours/week (M-F, 9 AM–3:30 PM)

  • Eligibility: Open to high school students, preferably rising juniors and seniors, who are at least 16 years old.
