Maria Tice

Administrative Assistant

Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, María moved to Indiana to attend Goshen College. She majored in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Conservation Biology.

After graduation, María served two years in Elkhart EnviroCorps, an AmeriCorps program hosted by the City of Elkhart. Drawn to nature, María pursued work in parks including a year at Potato Creek State Park.

In late 2007, María and her spouse, Adam, relocated to Hyattsville, MD within the beltway of Washington, DC. She learned about some of the complexities of local government as an employee for two county parks.

María returned to Indiana in 2012, where she continued to develop her skills in office administration at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College. After more than 10 years at Merry Lea, she sought new professional challenges and growth. She is excited to be a member of the enFocus team because of its goal to build strong, vibrant communities.
