Mike Bogdan
Director of Learning and Development
A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Mike came to South Bend to attend the University of Notre Dame, and he stayed because of the people he met in the community. He was drawn to enFocus because of the diversity of projects, the collaborative environment, and the opportunity to co-create innovative solutions for the area.
After earning a degree in philosophy, Mike spent the last 11 years working locally in healthcare, education, youth ministry, and nonprofit administration. While at Press Ganey Associates, he consulted with health care systems nationwide to improve patient care. He created an environment designed to foster autonomy and spark a lifelong love of learning as a guide at Good Shepherd Montessori School. Recently, he helped found and now serves as the president of the board of his first nonprofit entity: Saint Joseph Montessori, a cooperative learning program for homeschooling families.
Mike recently completed his Master of Nonprofit Administration at Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Mike is passionate about workplace culture and is working to better understand how organizations can foster or inhibit intrinsic motivation. Mike enjoys acting, singing, salsa dancing at Vegetable Buddies, contra dancing in Goshen, and taking his son to the Potawatomi Zoo.
